Classroom Management

Opportunities to teach students appropriate and acceptable classroom behavior occur every day. How we choose to approach these teachable moments can create opportunities for students to learn or, conversely, they can create opportunities for those students to participate in the student (mis)conduct process. Having an understanding of the language and hidden rules of poverty, and how they differ from the language and hidden rules that Southwest and most of us operate in will be a guiding light for this hands-on workshop.
