High Impact Community Resources-Nursing Program

Session will discuss the various Community Resources. The high impact these community resources have on our nursing program, school, and community.  We will explore the various resources and outreach programs to involve our students for the World of Nursing.

The goal of the session is to demonstrate: - "Stop the Bleed" intervention; the nursing department partners with Region One Hospital; certificates of completion will be distributed -the Heimlich maneuver- the nursing department partners with the American Heart Association This session will offer hands-on emergency interventions to impact our community and provide a certificate upon completion With a goal of impacting both student learning, institutional and community change, the OVERALL GOALS ARE TO: IMPLEMENT first-year seminars, common intellectual experiences, learning communities, writing-intensive courses, collaborative assignments and projects, undergraduate research, diversity and global learning, internships and project-based learning, service learning, and capstone courses and projects. These interventions promote higher levels of learning and success for students.
