Creating a Mentoring Culture: Promoting Equity and Holistic Saluqi Success

Southwest Tennessee Community College, through its ATD work to redesign the College, has embraced a mentoring culture to address issues surrounding equity and to promote quality student outcomes. Attend this session to learn more about the Saluqi Success Pathway (SSP) and the SMARTS Mentoring program, which combine to offer a more holistic approach to student success. This session will provide insights into how you can complement the first year experience by joining and helping to sustain the mentoring culture at Southwest in order to address the needs of underserved populations. With a focus on closing equity gaps, the Saluqi Success Pathway and SMARTS mentoring program allow Southwest students to experience an intentional culture of caring, mattering, and belonging with a focus on academic excellence.  Key resources provided through Retention & Student Success will also be discussed to fully equip current and future professional mentors with all the supports needed to promote Saluqi Success at Southwest.
