Multimodal Projects for the Composition Classroom

Using technology and various applications to communicate can seem like a daunting task for instructors and students alike. It doesn’t have to be! By considering the knowledge and experience on both sides of the desk, it is easy to incorporate technology and new media into writing assignments. Students work together to learn about a presentation platform, and they teach each other how to use it. This supports community interaction in hopes of increasing retention.  Using argumentative strategies, academic research, and thoughtful communication choices, students work individually to create a multimodal argument that demonstrates mastery of skills that fosters confidence in their ability.
